The Agence France Press on a letter from Mike Honda, chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, who wrote President Obama a letter saying that immigration reform "must remain an early priority in your administration."
Immigration has taken a back seat to economic issues in the political arena recently. Congressman Michael Makoto Honda represents California's 15th congressional district, which includes Silicon Valley. He's a Democrat. Congressman Honda traces his roots to Japan.
Immigration continues to be a controversial issue that Democrats and Republicans seem to have declared a stalemate on. It will be interesting to see how the Obama Administrations policy on immigration develops.
