There has been an influx of immigrants to developed countries due to globalization and lack of opportunities back home. Immigrants have to put in a lot of hours at work since they have to not only earn for themselves but also for family back home. The increased level of stress among immigrants has lead to rise in number of stress related diseases among them.
This has led to rising health expenses among the migrant community. An increase in drug prescriptions has also been witnessed in developed countries giving boost to the pharmaceutical sector of developed countries. These countries are witnessing an increased demand for prescription drugs but at the same time it also raises questions regarding the poor level of health among migrant community.
I believe the developed countries must look into this problem and try to find out means for lowering stress related problem before it becomes a menace.
