Don’t Go There: The World’s Most Dangerous Countries

Forbes recently came out with its list of this year's most dangerous countries. And the winner is Somalia.

I figure the odds are pretty slim that you were actually thinking of going to Somalia any time soon. If you were, you probably already know that it's dangerous. But every year people run off (for whatever reason) to some of the stupidest places on Earth. So I thought I'd mention the other countries on the list, too…

Numbers two and three on the list: Afghanistan and Iraq. Who would have guess that? Rounding out the top five we have the Democratic Republic of Congo and Pakistan. Six through 10: Gaza, Sri Lanka (very tempting, beautiful beaches), Yemen, Sudan, and Zimbabwe. And rounding out the list: Cote d'Ivoire (the Ivory Coast), Haiti, Algeria, Nigeria, and Georgia (and the Northern Caucasus).
