As macro-economic power shift away from the U.S. and towards Asian economic powers, Expatriate policies, practices and processes will be influenced more by the East than West, or at least that seems to be the claim of a recent Asia Pacific Global Workforce Summit.
There is no contesting the fact that company relocation policies take into consideration the current economic, social and technological environment. In the article entitled, International Assignments in a Changing World, author Griselle Cardozo does a nice job of identifying key issues relevant to expatriate assignments.
