France is considering immigration legislation that would impose new requirements, including DNA testing, French language skills, and evidence of financial resources for family-based immigrants.
This comes at a time when the French public is reported to be in favor of stricter immigration rules and there is widespread concern about large numbers of foreign nationals unlawfully in France.
