France Tightens Family Immigration
Filed in archive Europe by Matthew Schulz on July 4, 2007
In September, the French parliament is expected to consider an immigration bill that makes it harder for family-based immigration.

Key provisions include:

1. French language and "values" test;
2. Financial ability of the sponsor to care for the family; and
3. Agreement to integrate children into French society.

See The Tocqueville Connection for the complete story.
