Le Monde criticized the proposal to change French immigration law to impose DNA tests for certain immigrants.

French Immigration Proposal Criticized by Leading Newspaper
The proposal was approved by MPs already and is expected to be debated in the French Senate next month. The Le Monde editorial cites Article 16 of France's civil code as prohibiting genetic testing for anything other than scientific or medical purposes and says the proposal is discriminatory.
