New Zealand Considers New Law to Limit Visas for Ties to Targeted Groups

Under a proposed new law, New Zealand would deny visas to foreign nationals tied to groups identified by foreign governments as as terrorist organizations.
The legislation is criticized as giving up local sovereignty by allowing other countries to dictate local policy. The goal of the legislation to limit the spread terrorism is not questioned; only whether this is the right approach.
