Tibet will reopen to tourists on April 5th, according to the Associated Press.
Tibet has been closed to foreign tourists for over a year now out of Chinese government concern over political unrest. The number of visas available will be limited, but exactly how many tourists will be let back in is unclear at the moment.
In the words of the AP, China claims Tibet as part of its territory, but many Tibetans have chafed under rule by Beijing, which grew steadily more invasive after communist troops entered the region in 1950.
